Welcome to "Save Quality Healthcare". You have an important opportunity to save the medical healthcare system as it currently exists. No system is perfect, but the current United States healthcare system is far superior to any alternative that currently exists in any other nation. Make no mistake, the current plan for change to our healthcare system seeks to replace the current system, in which medical decisions are made by the patient in consultation with the patient's physician, to a system in which a government bureaucracy makes decisions for the individual, rather than the individual making the decisions which affect his/her own care. We have seen in other countries which have models of centralized decision-making how this leads to delayed care, denied care, and rationing of medical care. While we support access for those Americans who are truly unable to afford care and who do not qualify for currently existing programs, we do not believe that this correctable problem warrants a total transformation to a government-run system. Rather, the solution should be directed toward helping the individuals who do not currently have access to medical care. The "reform" movement is seeking to use the "system is broken" slogan to persuade us to allow the government to enact a change which will adversely impact the overwhelming majority of Americans who are satisfied with the medical care received under the current system . Unless we act now, the private system of healthcare will become government-controlled, and the ability to make decisions without the interference of government bureaucrats will be lost forever.
